A cycling-themed family theatre show will visit Weston-super-Mare this Saturday, with children invited to help a clown find his way to the finish line.
On Your Bike Baffo! comes to Front Room Theatre on 17 October. The performance listed in the organiser’s release starts at 11am.
The OH! Productions show combines clowning, physical comedy, live music and audience participation, and is recommended for children aged three to eight and their families.
Baffo arrives determined to build and ride a bicycle, but objects emerging from a mysterious box keep sending him off on new adventures. The audience helps him work out what to do next.
Creator Oliver Harrison developed the production through sessions in primary schools, with children’s reactions and suggestions helping shape the story.
Live music is performed and composed by Tom Penn, responding to the action on stage and adding to the comedy.
The production is touring venues across the UK this autumn. The Weston stop takes place at Front Room Theatre, BS23 1FF.
Families can find current performance details and book through the theatre’s On Your Bike Baffo event page. The venue also lists an afternoon performance; readers should check availability when booking.
